When it comes to easiest rooms to clean in your home, your bathroom probably won’t make the top five list. Bathrooms can be tedious and time-consuming to keep clean, especially if you have smaller children. If you are tired of spending hours of your precious time cleaning your bathroom, I’m going to show you how you can speed clean your entire bathroom in just minutes! This routine will take all the dread out cleaning a bathroom, and still have a fresh and sparkling bathroom at the end.
Supplies
One of the most challenging parts of cleaning a bathroom is gathering all the different supplies needed to get it clean. One of the best ways to save yourself some time is by creating a cleaning caddy for your bathroom. Keep it right under the bathroom sink, so you can have everything ready to go whenever you’re ready to clean. Here’s what’s in my bathroom cleaning caddy:
- Paper towels
- Cleaning rags
- Toilet cleaner
- Glass cleaner
- Shower cleaner
- All-purpose cleaner
Step 1: Spray everything down
Now that you have your cleaning caddy ready to go, it’s time to start cleaning. The best way to start cleaning your bathroom is by spraying everything down, so it has time to soak. Start by using your toilet cleaner in the toilet bowl and then move to the shower walls. Ideally, you will want to let these soak for about five minutes.
Step 2: Sink area
While your shower and toilet bowl are soaking, now is a great time to tackle the sink area. Start by spraying down the mirrors with your glass cleaner of choice, then wipe clean with a microfiber cloth. When wiping down your mirror, move in an S pattern to avoid wiping spots you’ve already done. Next, move on to the sink. Depending on your sink and counter area, choose your cleaner of choice. I use an all-purpose spray, but you can use whatever spray is the best fit for your sink area. Spray down your sink and wipe clean. Afterwards, I give the counter a quick clean to finish off the area.
Step 3: Return to wipe down
Now that your toilet bowl and shower walls have had time to soak, it’s time to wipe them down. Using the same S pattern, wipe down your shower walls, and use your toilet brush to clean your toilet bowl. After you’re done wiping down the shower, give it a quick rinse.
Step 4: Finish the toilet
Once you’ve finished cleaning the bowl, go ahead and use your all-purpose spray to wipe down the toilet lid and rim. If you have a designated cleaning rag for this area use that, otherwise a paper towel will work just fine. Finish by cleaning the outer portion of the toilet.
In just four simple steps your bathroom is clean! Cleaning your bathroom no longer has to be a pain. This entire process should take you no more than 15 minutes, and your bathroom will be clean enough for unexpected guests!
