It’s good for students to know how to write in cursive. Most homeschoolers teach cursive. Some teach it first, and others after learning manuscript.
If you or a student is interested in moving beyond cursive, try hand lettering.
Lettering involves drawing letters, not just writing them. It’s a lot fancier, and a lot more fun to attempt for many students.
It’s not quite the same as Calligraphy. Calligraphy is more standardized than lettering.
